Tears! And Toys! And Toes!

Margaret has had a few milestone moments in the last few days!

Yesterday she cried, and she had tears! It takes a while for real tears, but she has them now. And she's not afraid to use them!

Margaret also finally put her toes in her mouth. And I got a picture (below). Yay Margaret!

She can also now move a toy from one hand to the other hand. She seems to like the Winkel toy a lot, but she also has a little rattle that she is quite fond of. Max picked it out and got one for Margaret and one for himself, so well done Max!

And now on to the pictures!
I was trying to get a picture of Margaret in this sweet little hat. But right as I took the picture there was a knock at the front door. So I got her startled look. And it is just too funny to not share!

Shannon got Margaret these awesome shades! And I think Margaret knows just how cool she looks. She is also wearing her most awesome hula monkey girl outfit from Auntie Sheena!

Here Margaret is forced to hold her own bottle. As you can see, Agatha is right next to her for this trying ordeal.

Toes in her mouth!!!!

Here Margaret is sitting pretty in her little easter egg like shirt. Happy little girl!

Here Margaret is showing off the new socks Mommy made for her. Thanks to Shawn for the yarn!

Margaret and her toys

First, the picture of Margaret that will be key to her Father's Day gift for Mark. Her shirt says "Daddy's Little Angel" and I think she looks very sweet. And I happen to love the plummage bow!

And then on to the pictures of Margaret and her toys. Max decided that Margaret needed ALL of her toys at the same time...
Here it appears she is thinking about which toy to play with.

And here she is, with just one! :)

Margaret's 4 Month Checkup

Margaret had her 4 month checkup this weekend.

She is:
12 pounds, 13 ounces (50th percentile)
24.5 inches long (50th percentile)

And her head is 16 inches around (50th percentile).

Mark said that makes her an average baby.
I say that makes her an IDEAL baby!

Happy Birthday NannyJo!

The Many Moods of Margaret

Here is Margaret at 3.5 months old. Sitting on the lion toy. Balancing by her own. I guess she didn't read the book that says she isn't old enough to do that yet!

I wonder what is going through her mind...

Here Margaret is wearing another one of Max's outfits. Giraffes are good for a girl or a boy...

Happy Mother's Day

Margaret poses with Mommy on Mother's Day!

Margaret and Max in their Mutual Admiration Society

Margaret doing her Tummy Time. Blanket from the Miskes! Thanks! And I am delighted to report that Margaret has started to roll over! She can go from tummy to back so far. We are really trying to increase her Tummy Time to help her make more progress. Putting her on the big ottoman with a blanket under her seems to work out well. She can lift up her head and see us if we sit on the floor or she can see Max if he runs up to her (as he often does).

Happy Margaret in her Bumbo and a silly hat!

Margaret's Young Admirers

Dylan was very excited about Margaret. And she really seemed to take to him. Dylan helped me with the stroller all day long at the Sheep and Wool Festival. He was eager for his chance to hold Margaret.
This picture was taken right before we left the Festival. Margaret was giving Dylan a big big smile. She really likes him. And he really likes her. Another mutual admiration society!

Back at home Margaret doesn't seem so sure that having her picture taken with Max is a good idea... Maybe she is just intimidated by his giant head...
