Meggie in brown and pink

I was trying to get a picture of her shoes, so of course her feet are in motion. But this is Margaret from this morning. She's wearing a brown top and matching pants in brown with pink trim, super frilly pink socks, and brown shoes from Trout.

Margaret "eats" a cupcake

Margaret is very intersted in feeding herself. And is intersted in cake. She's not quite as successful at EATING her food as she might like...

For Patty

Just to show that Margaret doesn't ALWAYS wear pink! This is Margaret having a picnic of pretzel goldfish crackers in the kitchen yesterday.

Meg and Melba Toast

The wants and needs of babies can really ebb and flow. Here you can see Margaret totally focused on the melba toast that she has rejected steadily for months. Last night she and Max decided that it was the best thing ever and pounded through most of a sleeve.

I also like how curly the back of her hair is in this picture. She just got her hair cut over the weekend and I think that it now curls even more. Which is exactly what I was hoping for!

Clean Up

Margaret is not only modeling the outfit Angie gave her but she is also helping Max clean up. Max is singing the clean up song. And Margaret picks up one piece and walks it over to where Max is. And then goes to get one more piece. It is a slow process but she is very excited to be helping out.

Margaret brushes Gretel

It was an absolutely beautiful day yesterday afternoon. Max and Margaret spent some quality time in the sandbox. Gretel wanted to come outside too, so I brought her out. And then I decided to make good use of the time by brushing Gretel. I brushed and brushed and brushed, and then Margaret got excited about the idea. So I let her take a turn. Margaret definitely enjoyed it. Gretel seems to have just put up with it. But it is nice to see Margaret trying to help out!

Meg on a chair

Yesterday Margaret decided to stand on a chair. She's got her toy phone in her hands. And a cheeky grin on her face! She got up, but did not know how to get down. But she was willing to say "Cheese!" for me before I helped her get down. Later in the afternoon she figured out how to get down from the chair by herself.

She's also been working on saying Margaret.
