Track Suit!

Here's Meggie, in her beautiful track suit from Riley. We've been waiting about a year for her to grow into it. She loves that it has a hood and is soft!

Sleep is for losers

This is Meggie last night. At bedtime. When all I wanted to do was go to sleep. She, however, had other ideas. Like playing. Or anything other than going to bed.

Hokie Meggie!

Meggie wearing her Hokies Cheerleader outfit. Unfortunately she went to bed before the game and then Hokies then lost.

This morning Meggie decided that this little basket was the perfect place to sit.

Big Girl Bed

Margaret has decided that naps should take place in Max's bed. And Max loves his Baby. So he sleeps on the floor at nap time so that she can sleep in his bed. At night he wants his bed and she goes into her crib. But today was the third day in a row that she ran to his bed and got in for nap time. She got out to read books, but then was right back in with a huge grin on her face!

Pretty Baby

I was wearing a necklace this morning. So Margaret needed to be "pretty" too. So I let her wear my "pearls" from Premier Design this morning. She was delighted. And then she was done and it was time to take off the necklace and eat cheerios. But she was so happy to be pretty that she actually stood still so I could take her picture!

Lucky 107 Baby!

Today at the grocery store NannyJo got the magical cart! Here's a cutie photo of Meggie and the lucky 107 tag on the cart! Meggie is also wearing her cupcake Hello Kitty shirt and the kimono I knitted for her out of the Cupcake colored yarn!

Pants are for losers

Every time I asked Meggie if she wanted pants, she said "No Thank You!" But when it was time to leave, she was all about a rain coat, zipped up, with the hood up! NannyJo took one look at her, put her hands on her hips and said "In my house we wear pants on Thursdays" so Meggie put her pants on!

Butterfly Girl

Meggie is chillin' like a villian at Harris Teeter with NannyJo. She's wearing her new butterfly pants. Yay! :)

Meggie was all snuggly and warm at NannyJo's house!

Meggie in the green sweater

Today Margaret wore the green hooded sweater I made for Max. Meggie liked that it was soft and that it had a giant hood. And she thought she looked "Pretty!" while she was wearing it. I think she was right! :)

Organic Meggie

This morning Meggie was wearing one of the outfits her Granny gave Max. This is an organic cotton terry-cloth type outfit. Warm and snuggly. With a white ruffled shirt underneath! And she is wearing her Hello Kitty socks that she loves (to the point of talking to her Daddy on the phone about them). I caught her in the middle of strutting around showing off her socks and shoes. :)

Sleeping Beauty

She was so happy about her socks last night. The other side of her pajamas has a glow in the dark skeleton on it. :)

No better photo

I asked NannyJo to try to get a picture of Margaret in her outfit today, since it is one that Auntie and I picked out in England together. But Margaret has refused. Apparently she believes Joanna is trying to steal her soul... Not even Elmo can save her.

Two Elmos!

Yesterday Margaret got a little Elmo doll. So now in her mind she has two Elmos. She will not listen to other people telling her the blue one is Cookie Monster. She has TWO ELMOS! And she's delighted beyond words at this situation. This morning both of them had to eat breakfast wtih her and then ride in the car with her. Her little shorts also have a little Elmo and Cookie Monster picture on them, but she wasn't willing to pose for me in a way that would show that. I'm lucky she was distracted by TWO ELMOs and Cheerios for this picture!

Hex Sweater in Action!

I worked on this hexagon sweater while I was in England, and finally finished it after returning home. It is made by crocheting 2 hexagons and then folding them to make a kimono sleeved sweater. Since it was only 64 degrees this morning, I decided Margaret could wear it. She was in a hot pink mood (she picked out her own shoes today). It doesn't have a button, but she was ok with that and just held it shut herself.

Once she was in the van, with her tiny Elmo book, she crossed her ankles and got ready for her ride to NannyJo's house.

Serious Meggie!

Sometimes I have a hot chocolate in the morning before heading to work. And on those days, the babies get to have a little whipped cream in a cup. This is a serious eating opportunity and one that requires full attention!

Silly Girl

Margaret was being a silly girl, but I did manage to get a reasonable photo of her in her pretty dress from NannyJo!

Brunch Attire

When I went to England in June, Auntie and I went to Baby Baby. And I saw this dress. And I just had to have it for Margarita! She wore it this weekend to Wes's Birthday Brunch, along with her pretty white shoes from Granny. She would not smile for me, but at least with a side view you can see her little curls. :)

Kudos to Joanna for getting two pig tails into Miss Meg's hair!

Yay for Cake!

Margaret, in the shirt Grandma got for Max, eating a cupcake with joy in her little baby heart! Her purse is behind her. :)

Busy Baby Doing Busy Baby Things

Meggie talking on the phone and multi-tasking by also reallocating the tupperware more appropriately.

Big girls eat big waffles! And sit in big girl seats!

And big girls eventually grow into the beautiful Easter sandals bought by Granny. Also thanks to WTF for the dress. The perfect thing for a super hot day! And smart babies know it is a good idea to hang out by the fan!

Some days are just ponytail days

Thanks to NannyJo for making a miracle happen -- a ponytail that stays in for more than 10 seconds!

Hard at work

Busy babies have busy baby things to do. And sometimes that means catching up on email...

I took this before she had breakfast. I can tell -- mostly because she does not yet have chocolate all over her clothes! Chocolate chip pancakes are for eating AND wearing.

Playground Fun

Super Thanks to JoNanna for the photos of the babies on the playground.

Unique Sense of Style

Here's Margaret in the pajama top I picked out for her. And Max's pajama bottoms. And her new white dress shoes. She's got a whole lot going on with this outfit. And I can only imagine she would have added a hat and a sweater if she was given a chance!

Gretel is also styling in her VT bandanna. That's a doggie who loves to wear a kerchief!

Meggie and Pansy

Margaret rediscovered Pansy on Saturday. She was laughing and laughing and laughing! Pansy walked over to her and was looking at her, and was moving her head to track Margaret's movements. It was totally adorable!

Driving the Cart

Max wanted to get the car cart at Giant. Since it was just me with the 2 babies, I went ahead and got the car cart and let them both drive. They were so happy!

Making Her Former WorkDaddy Proud

Margaret with all that remained of her McGriddle pancakes after the ride to Joanna's. She sits in Max's seat while I get her seat out to take up to Joanna. She's smiling at Wes in this picture. And wearing the crocs she put on all by herself this morning. What a big girl. Also she is wearing her new dress, that she loves, and the bolero too. She insisted on wearing the bolero even tho it was hot, because it goes with the dress. She's a girl who loves her accessories!

French Fries and Broccoli

Margaret, with her balloon, enjoying her dinner! I think she actually ate more broccoli than french fries. Her little eyes got very big when she realized all the broccoli was for her. Yay for Margaret and her love of broccoli! She was also very excited about her pink balloon!

Happy Birthday Mommy!

My Little Tesco's Girl

Here's a picture of Margaret in her new t-shirt and skirt from Tesco's. She's such a happy little girl!

Margaret in her new dress

When I gave her the dress on Sunday, she was very excited about the bolero. She was trying to put the bolero on, but got it tangled up. So today when i had her put on the dress and then the bolero she was very excited.

She was sitting in Max's car seat while I was getting the stuff ready to take up to NannyJo. She's not quite ready yet for the big girl car seat. But she enjoys sitting in Max's seat for a few minutes!

Stinky Face

Max and Margaret both love to have me read to them at bedtime. We have to negotiate the number of books I will read. Max requests 5. We ususally have Max pick out 2 books and Margaret picks out 1. And she definitely has a favorite! I Love You, Stinky Face is her favorite. Last night she was actually looking around all over the place to find it. She loves that the skunk takes a bubble bath. And yesterday she did too! She laughs and laughs at all the things the little boy says to his Mommy. It's great to see her little face light up.

it's lucky she's so cute...

Here's Margaret this morning, watching OK GO with Max. She had me up for 3 hours in the middle of the night on Friday night, and then had me up in the middle of the night last night too. And then not only woke up at 530am but also woke Max up.

Princesses Don't Eat Reheated Pancakes!

Margaret prefers me to cook her pancake each morning. Reheated pancakes are not truly acceptable. Although she did, in the end, eat it.

Chilling on the deck...

Margaret hanging out at Wendy's house...

A mystery

What did NannyJo get for me?

You can't tell, but it turns out it was a bagel. Lucky Margaret.

Special thanks to Grandma for the outfit and to Auntie Margaret for the shoes!

Remembering Beryl

At Granny and Grandad's Diamond Anniversary Party, Margaret met Beryl. Beryl held her and sang to her. Margaret was powerless to resist Beryl's singing and was fast asleep after a couple of rounds of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

Margaret at Sheep and Wool

After we finished up at the Sheep and Wool Festival, Margaret decided to pick me a flower. She picked a butter cup, and was intent on walking to me with it. I put it in water when I got home and it has actually perked up and a second flower is going to open. Very sweet! What a little darling!

Busy Baby -- Reading, Eating, and Watching OK GO

Margaret after her shower, reading her book...

Margaret after her dinner. She was eating yogurt by the handfuls.

Max and Margaret watching OK GO while Max does his nebulizer treatments.

Margaret "reading" again. She really loves to look at books. Her favorite is "I Love You, Stinky Face."
